love of God

the love of God -- how deep, how wide...he loves us when we are so unlovely. preacher reminded me today, i am a son of God. not cousin, neighbor, acquaintance, -- but a son/daughter of God. i cannot contain this truth. what joy and confidence i have in being a son/daughter of God. i could never wrap my mind around the thought. he is extending his love to so many people. i think of a couple of hurting moms right now in my life. only the love of God can heal them. i think of lost students in the youth group. only the love of God can heal them. i think of family members who need the love of God. God has given each person a free will; all we have to do is reach out and accept his love. the love i give my husband and boys does not compare to God's love. yet, his love is the perfect example on how to give love. my prayer is to love as God does. not to use my human eyes that judge, but to use the mind of Christ that knows no boundaries.
