great day...

yesturday was a great day. joey, his dad, and both boys headed to raleigh to go to the fishing show at the coliseum. i went up to raleigh too and met my mom at the mall. we had a blast together. this was the first time since i have had children that we have been able to spend any time together alone. it was so awesome. it does not bother me to have the children with us, but it was so nice to just focus on each other. we ate lunch, laughed, talked, shopped, etc...and had no time schedule. just simply wonderful! i love my husband for being sensitive to that need. he took the boys and had a blast with his dad. we met back together and had a family dinner (just the four of us-joey, me, caleb, and jacob) at the cheesecake factory. the Lord blessed us at christmas time with a gift card there and we used every cent.

i am thankful for family. i am also thankful for the blessing God gives even when we do not deserve them. frankly, we only deserve hell and we get soooo sooo much more. in fact, in the end we get the ultimate best -- heaven!!
