ever wondered what is true love??
i have -- i think i have a pretty good idea...when i was a little girl, i dreamed of marrying the perfect man just like my daddy. then i started dating (and went out with some great and not so great guys)...of course, when you are younger, you think every one is the one. hahaha!!
then, i think of the love my parents have for me. wow! amazing. never completely understood their love until i had children of my own. you cannot describe how you feel or the motivation behind the ways you love.
then, there are those friends that stand the test of time. you know the ones that will always be no matter where life takes you or them.
my husband, he is my dream love come true. the one i thought was never attainable. isn't it amazing how God can give you exactly what you dream of as a little girl and so much more. i am in awww of how the Lord has helped us grow deeper in love with each other over the last 8 1/2 yrs. the icing on the cake has been our two beautiful boys. i see joey in both of them so much. how neat to reproduce such wonderful qualities. i could write a book on our love.
however, when i think of the love of God, i cannot begin to understand true love. this love is above any other. it is eternal, longsuffering, unconditional, graceful, strong, soft, powerful, ............. i could go on and on. all of the above cannot touch this true love. someone who willingly died for me -- and there was no obvious circumstance to make him do it or to be a hero, etc....
the Lord has been teaching me how to believe Him more through several circumstances. i am certain the more i believe Him, the more i love Him. my love for Him could never compare to His love for me. however, i want Him to be pleased and glorified through how i love Him.
