celebration

this week joey and i have been away, on a little trip, for our 9th anniversary. i cannot believe how time flies when you are living your dream. about 15 years ago, i remember dreaming of that perfect person the Lord had just for me. i still have the little paper i wrote down all the qualities i wanted in mr. right. as a young teen, i remember journaling and praying so many days and nights for God to give me the one i dreamed of. when joey and i began talking, i came home from our first date and my mom said, you are going to marry that man are'nt you? (she would never say that). i responded, yes. wow -- we went away to college -- and the next thing you know my daddy was walking me down the aisle to marry joey. the Lord has been so faithful to us and showed us so much favor. just to be called into the ministry is so wild. and then to bless us with the two most beautiful boys. what an awesome responsibility God has given us.

joey and i try to get away together a couple times a year. i have been amazed at how when you take time to evalutate your marriage often, God can do some unbelievable things. all praise and glory to the ONE who gave me joey! thank you, Lord, i love you.
