Serving

Serving

At 14yrs old, I surrendered 2 serve the Lord - no matter what it was! At 16yrs old, I felt God's call 2 ministry. Little did I know I would be a pastor's wife. However, I could not imagine doing anything else. The hand of the Lord not only fashioned, prepared, & equipped me, but He did the same w/a young man named Joey Baynes. (I will pause here & say I'm glad I did not settle 4 second best). Waiting 4 the 1 God created just 4 u is worth it all. Now married almost 11yrs, I could not imagin serving the Lord w/any1 else. Psalm 34:3 "oh, magnify the Lord w/me, & let us exalt his name 2gether."

Life 2gether has been an awesome journey! Serving God full-time is the most rewarding job in the whole world! It's not always fun, easy, or glorious, but the cost is eternity! (enough said). Sometimes Satan & my flesh will tempt me 2 want more of what the world offers. Every time, my sweet Savior reminds me of psalm 34:8, "oh, taste & see that the Lord is good". The more I eat, the more I love! The verse goes on 2 say, "blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!". I believe this now more than ever b 4!

The past 2yrs, God has been revealing Himself 2 me so real! I am loving every minute of it! I pray I stay in this place! Whether materially or spiritually, I have tried God & He has proven Himself EVERY time. As I look back, I get goose bumps. As I look 4ward, I get butterflies. Serving the Lord just does not compare!

Serving 4 me starts n my home w/my husband & children. However, it extends 2 teenagers, moms, neighbors, making new friends n the community, etc...I love knowing the cashier at the grocery store, the waiter at the local restaurant, librarian, bank teller, etc...not just knowing them, but having a relationship w/them & doing acts of service 4 them!

Every1 can serve full time -- we r commanded in scripture. How r u serving the Lord? Who r u serving? Loving Jesus & Loving others is what it is all about! Seriously, it is really that simple.

Serving

What does that word mean 2 u?

Danger: staying in our comfort zone w/our family & same circle of friends. Be careful & get outside the danger zone!
