Thanksgiving & Christmas r around the corner! This is my fav time of yr! We already have our home decked out 4 Jesus' bday -- it's a BIG deal! Some ppl think we r crazy, but it doesn't bother me. We celebrate our bday's 4 a week or a month -- hehe! Sooooo, we make MUCH of Jesus' bday! However, we don't leave out thxgiving. It's a combination around here! Since living away from our families 4 almost 9yrs, the holidays r different! Every1 comes 2 our home 1x a yr & that's thxgiving day! We do it up BIG 4 thxgiving/Christmas! See we don't get 2 stay home Christmas b/c we r on the road @ our families' homes! It's a fun time all the way around!
We will b making lots of life changes this coming 2012 year, but I will carry on 4 now & continue 2 make much of Jesus' bday!
I am looking 4ward 2 being n our home 4 Christmas next yr 4 the very 1st time since we got married. Having little children helps 2 b home 2! I'm sure some changes will affect the rest of the extended families' plans, but it's ok! I was reminded by a friend's blog 2day, u just have 2 love 'em anyway! Lol as the holiday season arrives, don't try 2 plz every1. Do what God wants 4 ur family. Of course, there will b time 2 include extended family. Just don't let extended family dictate what "they think" is best 4 your family. Put all the pressure aside. Simplify. Make MUCH of JESUS. And, your family, well, u just have 2 love 'em! Ha!
