Circles...
I read a book each month. This month I am reading "The Circle Maker" by Mark Batterson. I will say this book, along w/"Sun Stand Still" have been most influential in my life the past year. Of course, as I read Sun Stand Still, I had no idea God would soon call us to plant a church. He used His Word & that book to prepare me. Now, as I read The Circle Maker, I am learning how to pray a different way. Praying circles around your biggest dreams & greatest fears can be challenging. It takes removing alot of my fleshly desires to be more consistent in my prayer life. Putting new habits to my prayers, not only brings new meaning, but a deeper faith. Faith that knows my God will do it. I've been guilty so many times of praying surface prayers. Those type prayers are an embarrassment to my God. It's the prayers of things too big for me that my God delights in. When I take a look at my personal prayers and my prayers for Restoration Church, I think WOW that's alot to ask. I will now begin to draw circles around them and be consistent until God brings them to pass. I will also begin praising Him as though they are the past.
